Safety & Discipline
At Jwalamukhi Public School, the safety, security, discipline, and well-being of students are given utmost importance. The school is committed to providing a safe, positive, disciplined, and secure environment that supports learning and personality development.
The school has established a Safety and Security Committee and Child Abuse Prevention Committee represented by members of the staff and parent community to address the safety concerns of students and ensure effective implementation of safety measures.
Safety Measures
The following mechanisms have been put in place for student safety and welfare:

- Yearly medical check-up for students
- Monthly cleaning of water tanks
- Regular checking of electricity connections
- Physical inspection of all areas
- Coordination with local administration

- Training for school personnel, students, and parents on safety procedures
The school also organizes awareness programmes and counseling sessions under the supervision of the Principal to promote child safety and security.
School Discipline
Discipline is considered one of the basic requirements of civilized life and plays a significant role in shaping the personality and character of students. Students are expected to maintain proper conduct, punctuality, cleanliness, respect, and responsibility at all times.
Discipline Guidelines
Students are expected to:
- Attend school regularly and punctually
- Wear prescribed school uniform properly
- Maintain cleanliness and proper behavior
- Respect teachers, staff members, and fellow students
- Attend school assembly regularly
- Converse in English within the school campus
- Take proper care of school property
- Maintain discipline during school hours and school activities
Strictly Prohibited
The following acts are treated as serious offences:
- Irregular attendance and habitual late coming
- Leaving school premises without permission
- Disobedience and objectionable behavior
- Use of abusive or unparliamentary language
- Physical violence and misbehavior
- Damage to school property
- Using unfair means during examinations
- Carrying mobile phones to school
- Purchasing eatables from unauthorized vendors
- Bunking classes or school
- Bringing indecent or undesirable materials
- Writing on uniforms or school property
- Bursting crackers or misuse of colours inside school premises
Students found violating school rules are liable to disciplinary action including warning, fine, suspension, or expulsion from the school.
Attendance & Leave Rules
- Students are expected to maintain the required attendance as per CBSE norms.
- Leave applications must be submitted in advance whenever possible.
- Medical certificate is required for prolonged illness.
- Unauthorized absence beyond the prescribed period may lead to removal of the student’s name from the school rolls.
Parent Cooperation
Parents and guardians are expected to cooperate with the school in maintaining discipline, punctuality, attendance, and proper conduct of students.
Parents are requested:
- Not to enter classrooms during school hours
- To attend Parent-Teacher Meetings regularly
- To monitor school diary and academic progress
- To ensure proper uniform and discipline
- To inform the school immediately regarding change of address or contact number
